Successful BatHawk fundraiser held in Michigan.

An amazing art and wildlife safari auction fundraiser was hosted at KLK Gallery, Walloon Lake, Michigan on the 25th July 2015.
This fundraiser, hosted generously by Kathryn Kircher, was the brainchild of a local Hoedspruit artist Mark Middleton.
Amongst the stunning art pieces, Mark donated an original piece titled ‘flight for rhino’s’.  The aim of the event was to raise funds for the Bathawk project, and keep this amazing little workhorse in the sky.

The 3 tiered approach to helping fight poachers was explained in the presentation made by the CEO, SAWC.  Firstly, we need well trained rangers on the ground, secondly, we need aerial support to suppress the poachers; Third we need a well trained dog unit to be able to track the poachers at a speed much quicker than people alone.
The funds raised will ensure this 3 tiered approach remains active in our area of operation!!!

A BIG thank you to Katryn Kircher and her fantastic team!!
